LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
LORD BEAVERBROQK'S VIEW. A EUROPEAN CONCERN. (Received June 2. 5.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 2. Lord Beaverbrook, replying to criticisms of his attitude toward the League of Nations, says: " Ihe League is a European concern. If we achieve closer unity in the Empire we can raise the standard of living to the level enjoyed by the Dominions.-
" The true significance of the Locarno Treaty is shown by the fact that the Dominions have not ratified it. 1 hey know •that European entanglements are inimical to the Empire."
