NAVY LEAGUE.
Tho monthly meeting of the ladies' committeo of tho Navy Leaguo was held yesterday morning, Mrs. R. W. Gallaughcr presiding Dver a largo attendance of members. A flag bridge evening has been arranged for Juno 15 and matters in connection with this wero discussed. Arrangements for the jumble sale to be held at the Y.W.C.A. on June 19 wero finalised. Tho committee would appreciate donations of goods and left-off clothing from tho members of the league and their friends. With the proceeds of the very successful card afternoon held earlier in tho year it has been possible to send a generous supply of winter clothing to tho children iit Motuihi Island. A sum of money from this fund has been given for the benefit of the girls of tho Hukarero Maori School. It was decided to assist the Hospital Auxiliary with their street collection on June 26. The Veronica Cup, presented by tho Auckland Navy Leaguo to the New Zealand Division of tho Royal Navy, will bo officially handed to RearAdmiral G. Blako by tho president of tho leaguo on Friday morning. Tho members of tho ladies' committee will bo present on board H.M.S. Philomel, where the presentation will take place.
