CAPTAIN'S PRIZE TOURNAMENT

THE THIRD ROUND DECIDED. The third round of the captain's prizr tourney was played by members of the Auckland Golf Club at Middlemore on Sat unlay. The links were in splendid playing condition. There are three games still to be decided in the third round and these will bo played during (lie week. In conjunction with the captain's prize a bogey competition was played and resulted in a tie between D. MacCormick and 11. T. Merritt, who were 1 up on bogey. Other results were:—B. 11. MA UNGAKIEKIE CLUB. The second round of the Kingswell Shield was played at One Ti'Pe liill on Saturday by members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club. The course was fast and the greens were in good order. A. K. Turner returned the best individual score of all square, winning the bogey match played in conjunction. With only one card for the two rounds in the Kingswell Shield competition he now occupies the leading position. Other cards returned were: —A
