DAIRYING SEASON.

OUTPUT IN PROVINCE.

INCREASE FOR NINE MONTHS. HIGH TOTAL RECORDED. The production of buttor-fat in the Auckland Province this season is being maintained at a high level, tho total for the first nine months being 5,863,0001b. in excess of that for the samo period in tho season 1929-30. The returns for March show a decline when compared with the figures for the preceding month and thoso for March, 1930, when the oulput was well above the average. This decrease was not unexpected, however, as a falling-off in tho quantities of butter and cheese received into grading stoics is a natural experience at this timo of the year, and should be in cvidenco until the close of the dairying season in July. The following table shows tho details of production of butter and cheese in the Auckland Province in terms of butler-fat for tho first nine months of the current dairying year, compared with thoso of tho corresponding periods of tho preceding season

'l'lyf most marked increase this season was in September, tho month's oulput being 11,029,0001b. of butler-fat, 23331b. nu.ro than in September, 1929. Tho season's zenith was reached in December with 21,362,0001b., as 'against 19,454,0001b. in December, 1929.
