Both cars were damaged extensively, the front of the closed model being buckled. A mudguard and one runningboard were torn off the other.

When the collision occurred, Miss Wilson, who was sitting beside her brother in tho front seat, was thrown violently forward against tho glass of tho windscreen, which fortunately did not splinter. Tho car swerved sharply, but did not capsize, although tho occupants were tossed about. Mr. Bredin was the only one injured of tho five passengers in tho car driven by Mrs. Bredin. '

Mrs. Wilson and her son were first taken to the residence of the Rev. J. 11. Bredin, and attended by Dr. G. W. Lock, of Papakura. Miss Wilson was attcmled at the roadside, it being considered inadvisable to niovo her until the arrival of the ambulance. At the time of the accident, the Wilsons were on their way to Auckland to attend the funeral of a relative.
