CAR RUNS INTO DRAIN.
SKID IN LOOSE METAL. [FROM OCR OWN djRRESPONEENT.] TE AROHA, Friday. A fortunate escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr. R. L. Burrell, of Waihou, when his motor-car skidded in loose metal on tho Te Aroha-Waihou road at 11 o'clock last night and lodged on its side in a deep drain. Mr. Burrell, who was the only occupant of the car, escaped with a severe shaking. Iho car was not seriously damaged.
