FLIGHT TO HAWERA.

OFFICIAL CLUB VISIT. THREE AUCKLAND MACHINES. An official flight to Hawera will be made by officials and members of the Auckland Aero Club in three of the club machines to-day. The Puss Moth aeroplane will be piloted by Flight-Lieutenant D. M. Allen, instructor to the club, who will carry as passengers Mr, Spencer R. Mason, president, and Mr. L. W. Swan, secretary. Other members of the party will be Mr. E. R. Boucher, club captain, and Messrs. P. C. Lewis, J. Ewington and J. M. Stevenson, who will fly iji two Standard Moths.

The machines will leave the Mangere aerodrome at seven o'clock' this morning and it is expected that the journey to Hawera will take about threa hours. A stop to refuel will be made at New Plymouth. During the afternoon a display will be given, including an exhibition of stunt flying by Flight-Lieutenant Allen and th« usual competitions, in which three machines belonging to the Western Federated Aero Clubs will also take part. The Auckland machines will commenca the return trip to-morrow morning and should arrive in Auckland at about noon.
