ANNUAL MEETING.

BAYSWATER-BELMONT. The annual meeting of the BayswaterBelmonfc Women's Society was held at the clubhouse/ Bayswater. The hon. secretary, Mrs. Babbidge, read the report and the hon. treasurer, Mrs.! W. G. Thomas, gave the statement of accounts. The officers for the ensuing year are as follows President, Mrs. F. E. N. Gaudin; vice-presidents, Mrs. B. Smith and Mrs. B- Francis; honorary, secretary, Mrs. L. L. Babbidge; honorary treasurer, Mrs. W. G. Thomas; committee, Mesdames Braund, Powell, Rambaud, R. Harrison, H. Carr, Wacldell, E. Harrison, M. Blampied and Macken.

It was decided that the ladies should meet regularly to sew for the needy and assist financially if necessary. The Poppy Day collection was highly satisfactory, as it exceeded the previous year's takings and these had been considered a record. Mrs. W. G. Thomas, as one of the original mombers of the society, spoke of the wonderful work done by Mrs. Gaudin' during her eight years' service as president of the society. Mrs. Rabbidge presented Mrs. Gaudin with a bouquet, in the club colours, at the same time expressing the good wishes of the society. The birthday cake to celebrate the society's eighth anniversary was cut and afternoon tea dispensed by the ladies of the committee, thus bringing to a. close a very enjoyable afternoon. The winner of the competition was Mrs. B. Smith. Among those present were; Mesdames Francis, Blampied, Waddell,' A. L. Browne, Auger, Mac Duff, H. Carr, E. Harrison, Macken, Braund, Proud, Whitehorn," Le Marchand, Peters, Deacon, A. Gyde, Inkster, Powell, Rambaud, R. Harrison, W. G. Thomas, B. Smith, W. White, Williamson, Davies, Holmes, Thomas, sen., and Burton.
