THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe gave a dinner party at Government House Jast evening. Their Excellencies \vill attend a combined rally of young men and young women at tho Town Hall to-morr.nw afternoon. The Governor-General will address the gathering. Their Excellencies v-ill leave for Whangarei x>n Monday, and will be absent in North Auckland until Friday. In addition to their normal series ol engagements Their Excellencies propose during their stay in Auckland to give a ball, as well as a garden party or reception. Following their practice of last year the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe also propose to entertain st afternoon parties at Government House on May 16 and 23 a proportionate number of those engaged! in the various local industries and public utility services of the city.
