LUXURIOUS APPOINTMENTS. STRATHNAVER AND STRATHAIRD With nine decks, six with open-air promenades for passengers, and driven at 22 knots, the P. and 0. Company's new turbo-electric steamer Strathnaver, 21,000 tons, will be the largest and fastest ship on the Australian run when she leaves London next October. Her sister ship, the Strathaird, will also be in commission toward the end of the year. With the Mooltan and Maloja, the I'. and 0. Company will then possess ths* four biggest passenger vessels entering Australian ports. The Strathnaver will accommodate 498 first saloon and 668 tourist passengers, a total of 1166 persons. There will ba single berth cabins for 262 in the first saloon and two-berth cabins for others. On "D" deck there is a special de luxe ' suite and 12 de luxe cabins, each with its private bathroom. Special arrangements have been made for Jie comfort and recreation of those in the new type> of P. and 0. accommodation known as "tourist," including a large number of two-berth cabins, ample deck space, and spacious public rooms.
