COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT. TEAMS TIE IN BOTH GRADES. The collegiate sc-clion of Hie Auckland Ladies' Jlocltey Association held a successful tournament at the grounds of St. Cuthbert's College on Saturday afternoon. Coinpetition was keen, and there was a lie 111 both the senior and junior grades J raining College A and St. Cuthbert s Old Girls shared the honours in the senior grade with 8 points each, while Takapuna Grammar ami Epsom Grammar each secured 9 points in the junior grade. [FROM OIJK OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WAIUKU. Saturday. The hockey season in the Franklin district was officially opened to-day with a seven-a-side tournament at Waiuku, arranged by the Franklin Ilockey Association. There were eight ladies' teams present, namely, Pukekawa, Pokeno, Tuakau, To Toro, Whiriwhiri A. Whiriwhiri B, Waiuku and Rucklmd. The winners in the tournament weio Wiiiriwhiri A. A ladies' relay race was won by Buckland. The Glenbnok and Kaheknhe Clubs were each represented by a men's tean; and a youths' team, nienbrook proved the winner in each division.
