MEMORIAL TABLET.
UNVEILING AT PAPAKURA. LATE MR. H. E. MOGFORD. A tablet in memory of the late Mr. Harry E. Mogford, who was a synodsman and vestryman in the Anglican Churches at Matamata and at Papakura until his death in November, was unveiled at Christ Church, Papakura, by Archbishop Averill last evening. The archbishop spoke of Mr. Mogford as a sincere churchman who, in spite of physical disabilities, had always been in the forefront of church work. He had not only helped his fellowmen by his services to them, but had also helped them by the example of his life. The tablet is inscribed: "To the glory of God and in memory of Harry Ernest Mogford, synodsman and vestryman. Horn January 30, 1877. Hied November 30, 1930. Aped 53 years." The service was conducted by the vicar, the Rev. \V. C. Wood, assisted by Archdeacon W. J. Simkin, and the sermon was delivered by the archbishop.
