THE BOYS' CORNER.

WASHER AND STRING TRICK.

Here is a trick that the amateur magician will find worth including in his entertainment. Three coloured paper washers, reel, white and blue, arc displayed on a length of string. Attention is called to the fact that the white one is in the centre, and the idea is to get this one out of the centre past either the red or blue so that it will be oa tho outside.

This is done while the ends of the string are held by spectators, the being covered with a handkerchief.

Secret: You have an extra white washer on the string, but this is concealed by the hand holding the string. Under cover of the handkerchief the white washer in centre is torn off and palmed, and the other concealed one is slid next to the other two. When the handkerchief is removed the spectators are surprised to find the white washer is now on the outside instead of in the centre.
