THE TWENTY-NINTH DIVISION.
Sir,—l read that the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association were sending greetings to the 29th Division of the British Army on Anzac Day. As a member of the "Immortal 29th," as they were called, I write to know whether there are any more of this division in Auckland and if so, whether an Old Comrades' Association could be formed. Although I have been in Auckland for over eight years, I have never come across a single man who was in the 29th, but about four years ago I was spbken to by an officer of the Imperial Army who said that I was the first man he had met who did belong to the 29th Division. Perhaps if there are a few more of the boys domiciled in Auckland we could form such an association. Royal Fusilier, First City of London Regiment.
