SYDNEY, April 7
The township of Baradine, 240 miles north of Sydney, was practically destroyed by fire. There is no fire brigade there and a shop had to be pulled down to check the flames. At the height of tho fire Miss Davis entered her shoo store to recover some goods but was overcome by smoke. However she was rescued. The damage is estimated at about £IO,OOO.
