PILLION RIDER INJURED.
COLLISION WITH MOTOR-CAR. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Tuesday. As a result of a motor accident near the Cloverlea soldiers' settlement! Mr. Walter Johnson, of Hunterville, and Miss Muriel Dorn, of Kairanga, were admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital suffering from injuries. Mr. Johnson, who was riding a motor-cycle with Miss Dorn as a pillion possenger, was returning home from the speedway meeting.
Ihe motor-cycle overtook a motor-car driven by Mr. H. G. Jewell, of Clovcrlea, just as it was about to turn into Buick's Line and it struck the running board of the car. Miss Dorn received a fracture of tho leg, but Mr. Johnson's injuries were only of a minor nature.
