COURSING HARES FREED.
ACT OF UNKNOWN PERSON. OTAGO MEETING ABANDONED. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OAIIAKU, Monday. As the result of an unknown person liberating 50 captive hares the coursing meeting which was to have been held on the racecourse at Oamaru to-day had to be cancelled. The meeting was arranged in an endeavour to reintroduce coursing into North Otago.
