THROWN FROM VIADUCT.
• DEATH OF SURFACEMAN. COAT CAUGHT IN JIGGER WHEEL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . GISBORNE. Monday. Through his coat becoming entangled in a wheel of a motor-jigger on which he was travelling across a viaduct on the railway line between Otoko and Rakauroa, a surfaceman, Mr. John Clement Windle, aged 35, was dragged off the vehicle apd was thrown to his death. He fell into a creek 55ft. below the level of the line. At, tho inquest a finding of accidental death was returned.
