HUMILIATION OF A BISHOP.
The Bishop of Gippsland, Dr. Cranswick, who recently addressed a meeting' at a country centre in Victoria, said that there had been a tragic change of opinion of Australia in other parts of the world. When going to England to attend the Lambeth Conference clergymen were humiliated by natives at Colombo and Egypt, who, when offered Australian silver, said, "No good; no change." In fact, no country wouJd change it. Bishop Cranswick said that his cup of shame was nearly full when he reached England and poor people' went to him and said, "Our little savings are in - bonds.
