TARIFF TRUCE PLAN.
DEFINITE ABANDONMENT,
(Received March 19, 9.15 p.m.) GENEVA, March 19. Iho Economic Conference to-day passed a resolution which in effect killed tho tariff truce convention. The president said ho did not intend to deliver a funeral oration. Silence, perhaps, was tho best Policy.
A cablegram from Geneva on March 17 B *wl t |m tariff truce proposal was regarded as dead by the conference convened |o consider the position- Only 12 out 8 ' 31 Towers had ratified it.
