ASSISTANCE TO BRIGADE.

[FROM OUR OWN COrtKESPONDP NT. ] HAMILTON, Thursday. At the annual meeting of Ih6 Hamilton Fire Police Corps. Mr. ,T. Gilbert, chairman of the Hamilton Fire Board, congratulated the corps upon its work at fires, and said he was sure its efforts had been of great benefit, to the brigade, who had often beon hampered in the past by spectators.

Thp election of'officers resulted as follows! —President, Mr. J. It. Fow; captain, Mr. S. T. Cooper; lieutenants, Messrs. If. Rose, F. J. Fan-ell. E. L. Watkins and R. Skeet: secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. T. Reid. Messrs. W. Allen, A. 11. Rurn and R. Mason were fleeted to art in conjunction with officers n» on the executive committee.
