MEDICI PRINTS.
COUNCIL DECLINES LOAN. The loan week by week of Medici prints after old masters from the Art Gallery to the art department of the Auckland Training College was declined by the City Council last evoning. The chieMibrarian reported that although the whole collection, of prints could not be shown at one time, all were available to students.. To grant the request would create a precedent. Tentative applications for tho loan of prints had already been made by the Elam School of Art and the Technical College.
