TWO MEN IN MARLBOROUGH.

[by TELEGRAPH. —OWN" con RESPONDENT.] BLENHEIM. Thursday.. Two tragic incidents occurred in Marlborough this morning. Just after breakfast the body of a well-known Blepheim resident, Mr. Arnold Drury Van Aseh, was found bathroom of his residence at Yelverton. A discharged gun was found in the bathroom.

Mr. Van Asch, who was 56 years of age, came to Marlborough from Canterbury, where his father was principal for some years of the Deaf and Dumb Institute, Sumner, and farmed for some time at Ure find later at Ward. Then he accepted the position of stock buyer for Messrs. Sims, Cooper, which position he relinquished about five years ago. Since then he had been dealing on his own account. , Mr. Van Asch was a very keen and popular sportsman. He leases a widow and two sons, Mr. M. G. Van Asch, who is living at Home, and Mr. I. 1. an Asch, who is a student at Lincoln i\giicultural College. . This afternoon advice was received in Blenheim that a shooting tragedy had occurred at The Shades, Kekerangu. which resulted in the death of a youth, Michael Pitt aged 19. It is understood that the 'deceased met his death from wounds inflicted by the discharge of tho gun. Mr. Pitt, whose parents ,reside at Nelson, was employed as a cadet on Mr. J. \V. Trolove's'station. He is believed to have been of a. delicate constitution.
