AUCKLAND WOMEN'S LEAGUE.
The fortnightly bridge evening of the members of the Auckland Women s League, United Political Party, was held in the League's Rooms, Pacific Buildings, last week. The rooms were tastefully decorated with flowers. Among those present were Mesdamcs Von Sturmer, O'Connor. Barrett. Roberts, Wilson, Bradshaw, Auber-Jones, Leonard, De Berg, Long, Williams, Watson. Nicholson, Duggan, Fox, Coughlan, Hargrcaves, Matthews. Maxwell, Munro, Power, Geary, M. Watson, McLaren, Martin, Cooke, Preston, Harris, Misses Ilargreaves, Warn, Hitchings, Mcintosh, Vausc, Saunders, Long, 0. Ilargreaves, Power. Thompson, Messrs. Duggan. Leonard. De Berg, Exley, Perham, Michaels, Bradshaw, Von Sturmer, MacManemin, E. Von Sturmer and Captain Barnes. Prizes were won by Mrs. Leonard and Miss Hargrcaves, Messrs. Barrett and Watson.
A crowded meeting of the Junior United Party was held in the League's Rooms on Thursday evening, • when the members arranged for a social evening to bo held shortly.
