Tho Parnell Amateur Swimming Club held its second gymkhana of the season at the Parnell Baths on Saturday afternoon, the large number of bathers present displaying much interest in tho competitions. The annual swimming carnival of tho four Ponsonby district primary schools was held at tho Shelly Beach Baths in the presence of a large attendance of parents and lr lends. The Bay of Plenty swimming championships were decided at a. carnival held under the auspices of the le Puke Ainateur Swimmine Club to-day. The attendance was a record and competitors were present from, Whakatane, Tauranga and Rotorua. Ihe most exciting race was the Bay of Plenty championship relay event for the President's Cup, won by the Te Puke team, with Tauranga second. M. F.
