WORK FOR WOMEN.
gj r> —The writer " Justice" was nob at the meeting of the Council of Women, and has evidently beenmisinformed both in regard to the facts and details contained iii her letter. At that special meeting several members of the executive of the Home Service Association wcro present, and so far fi om thinking there was any danger of overlapping, agreed that there was a very definite opportunity for cordial co-opera-tion in this present economic ciisis. The Home Service Association has special rules, which provide for a definite recommendation by members of both cmplovers and employees, and each has to pay a fee. In this suggested scheme of registration no fee is to be charged, and an endeavour is to be made to get suitable work for the unemployed woman or girl to tide her over an emergency. B. E. Carnachan, President Auckland N.C.W.
