KILMISTER DEFEATS MATTSON,
VISITOR WINS GOLDEN HELMET.

Kilniistcr (Wellington) beat Mattson (Auckland) in a special match on the cinder cycling track at tho stadium yesterday. Kilmister was leading Mattson in the first, race when tho Aucklander crashed. Kilmister won tho second race after an exciting contest. Mattson won the Golden Helmet for which Kilmister did not ride. Results were:—
Special Match.—First race: Kilmister, 1. Time, 78 3-ss. Second race: Kilmister, 1; Mattson, 2. Time, 80s. Grand Wellington Handicap.—Mangham, 1; Gower, 2. Time, 02 3-ss. Golden Helmet.—Mattson, 1; Whittle. 2. Timo 81s.
