AWARD TO PILOT.
SEARCHES IN AUSTRALIA.
ROYAL AIR FORCE CROSS. SYDNEY, March 11. Tho Prime Minister, Mr. J. H. Scullin, announces that the Air Force Cross has been awarded to Flight-Lieutenant Charles Eaton,* of the Royal Australian Air Force, in recognition of his valuable services in searching in Central Australia for lost airmen, including the ill-fated Lieutenant Keith Anderson and Mr. R. Hitchcock, and more recently Messrs. Pittendrugh and Ilanire, who were found alive after having been missing for. 23 days.
