EXTENSION PROPOSALS. (Received March 11. 6.35 p.tri.) British Wireless. RUGBY, March 10. Discussing the question of an extension of the air mail service to Australia with a deputation of business meij Lord Amulree, Secretary of State for Air, said it had been discussed at the last Imperial Conference and proposals were now being considered by the Governments of India, the Straits Settlements and the Commonwealth.
The inauguration of the scheme de pended upon" the financial support avail able.
AFRICAN AIR ROUTE.
FLYING-BOAT'S PROGRESS.
(Received March 11, 6.35 p.m.) " British Wireless. RUGBY, March 10. The Imperial Airways flying-boat which is inaugurating the northern section of the Cairo-Cape air route arrived at Kisumu, Lake Victoria, last evening. Her mails, which left London on February 28, were unloaded there. She is expected to reach Mwanza, Tanganyika, the present terminus, to-'day. The southern section of the route is to be opened in the summer.
