NEW LYNN RATING.
NO CHANGE IN SYSTEM. At a poll of New Lynn ratepayers held yesterday, a 1 proposal to alter the existing system of rating on unimproved values to that on capital values was lost by & majority of 73 votes. \ The voting was:—J. For, 353; against, 426. This is the first district of several in which polls have been taken during the past six months which has not decided in favour of a reversion to rating on capital values. Polls will be held at Otahuhu on March 24 and at Mount Roskill on March 28.
