PROTECTION OF WOMEN.
The executive committee of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children met at the society's rooms on Monday afternoon, the Rev. W. Jellie presiding. The reports of the secretary and inspector showed that a number of new cases had been dealt with besides those that aw> continually needing attention. There had beon 366 office interviews during the month and the inspector had made 118 visits to homes. The financial position of the society was put before the committee by the treasurer. In view of the fac that there will be no street collection this vear, the Ladies' Committee is being asked to make special efforts to raise funds Arrangements are being made to the annual meeting to be held toward the end of April.
