When Tommy Donovan meets Harry Johns, light-weight champion of New Zealand, later this month there will be many who will lie interested to see how he has developed with all his battles against clever visiting boxers. His wmk, judged on his showing when he lost his amateur title to Leslie TJrquhart, did not impress. However, lie has won the large majority of his fights. Fraei is to meet the winner of the Robertson-Fitz-nianriee contest at Gisborne. Charlie Purely has been matched with Tommy Fairhall at Westport for a £IOO purse. Oeorge Cook, who lost a questionable decision on Saturday in Australia, is reported/ to be very much taken with Ambrose Palmer.
