OPENING AT ONE TREE HILL.

SEPARATION FROM TITIRANGI.

Prospects are bright for a large attendance of players at. the One Tree Hill links on Saturday when the Maungakiekie Golf Club's first season since the separation from Titirangi will be officially opened. Special preparations are in hand to make the function a memorable ono as a fitting "send-off" to the newlyformed club.

An open invitation has been extended to all Titirangi members, the match for the day being a mixed foursome bogey contest. Players will be the guests of the president, Mr. C. J. Sjhnauer, and Mrs. - Schnauer. The opening ceremony will take place at the fust ground at .12.45' Players will arrange their own partners and opponents, and any who require assistance in this matter should communicate with the secretary, Mr. D. P. Garrard, or the secretary of the Ladies' Club, Miss M. W. Haslett. Much interest is also being shown in the Maungakiekie Club's Easter tournament, to be held on April 4, 6 arid 7. The arrangements are in tho capable hands of the' well-known golfer, Mr. Pex George. The club has been particularly fortunate in securing the services of Mr. George as. match secretary.
