LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of delegates to the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening, Mr. Tt. B. Hardy presiding. Tho chairman reported on the visits of Auckland teams to Tauranga and Rotorua and expressed the opinion that the-e had done much good for the game in those districts. He stated that the "Wilding Sh'ield team would leave for Wellington to-night. A vote of thanks was passed to the Auckland Club for the use of the extra court at Stanley Street for the A grade inter-club final last Saturday. The Mount Albert Club wrote in regard to the present B grade competition it. wn 3 decided that the inter-club committee bt» asked to consider the present B grade competition ond report at, a, later date.
MANGAPAI V. WAIKIEKIE. A team from the Mangapai Lawn Tennis Club played the Waikiekie Club on the "VVaikiekie courts, the match resulting in ft win for the latter by 15 sets to 3.
