MARRIED WOMEN TEACHERS.
Sir,—l have followed the discussion regarding the rights and wrongs of married women teachers and agree with Mr. R S. Paton. To my mind the principle of employing married women is economically unsound. In the o: dinary way when a man decides "or it is decided for him," that it would be nice to be married, well at least he should consider that in B0 doing he is Undertaking a duty to care for and support his partner of joy S an( j sorrows without asking or permitting her to add to the family income "by outside, work" to the detriment of those of her sister teachers, who, maybe, have not only to provide for the present, but also for the future. I am sure that married life offers enough scope for talent of tho highest order even to the most capable of women teachers. Hay See.
