PRESENTATIONS.
A farewell social was tendered in tho Howick Public Hall this week to Mr. and Mrs. A. J. T. Judkins ,and family, who aro leaving the district, Mr. Judkins having retired from the position of headmaster of the public school after 21 years' service. Mr. Judkins was presented with a walking stick, and Mrs. Judkins with a rose bowl. A welcome was extended to the newly-appointed schoolmastci, Mr. Norman Day, who was accompanied by Mrs. Day.
