SUICIDES IN JAPAN.
DISTRESSING EPIDEMIC. ENTIRE FAMILIES DESTROYED. TOKTO, Jan. 1. The erirl of the year has been marked by a distressing epidemic of suicides, surpassing all records for the past ten years. In many cases the destruction of entire families has been involved. It is not only the unemployed, but the generally poorer classes, who are affected. They were unable to continue to battle against the difficulty of living.
