AUCKLAND V. THAMES. A cricket match played at the Domain between teams representing Thames and the. Auckland Suburban Association resulted in a win for the latter by five wickets. Following are the scores:— Thames.—First innings: 233 for six wickets, declared (P. Buchan 30. R. Twentyman 43, W. Baker 50, C. Billing 52. J. Fox 10, J. Buchan 24). Bowling: Cheesenian took two wickets for 53 runs. J. Matthews one for 20. Crawford two for 42. Auckland.—First innings: 236 for five wickets (E. Masters 67, W. Badoley 11. R. Inncs 47. C. Williams 46 not out, V. Williams 45). Bowling: R. Buchan took two wickets for 33 runs, W. Baker one for 33, J. Fox one for 34, R. Twentyman one for 15.

AUCKLAND V. NORTH AUCKLAND. RAIN CAUSES ABANDONMENT. The cricket match between elevens representing Auckland and North Auckland, which was to have been continued at Eden Park vesterdav, had to lie abandoned on account of the rain. One over was bowled, but heavy rain set in and it, was decided that play would be impossible. lIELEXSVILLE V. MOUNT ALBERT. A match was played on New Year's Day at Hetensville between the Mount Albert and Helensville Clubs, and resulted in a win, for the visitors by 36 runs on the first, innings. Following are the scores:— Helensville.—First innings: 57 (Spence 28 not out). Bowling: Wilkinson took three wickets for 8 runs, Stewart two for 3, Delugar two for 16, Young one for 10. Rankin one for 12. Mount Albert. —First innings: 93 (Stewart 24, Floyd 18, Slaney 16, Somervill 12). Bowling: James took four wickets for 15, Skinner three for 24, Jeffery three for 26. Helensville.—Second innings; Five wickets for 115. declared (Spence 33. retired, Jeffery 2b, Jenyns 22, Williams 10). Bowling: Wilkinson tool; two wickets for 5 runs, Stewart one for 12, (Jwens one for 9. Mount Albert in its second innings had lost four wickets for 42 runs when time was called.
