BLENDING OF BUTTER.

Sir, —Farmers in New . Zealand hava been passing through a strenuous period. We work from daylight to dark to obtain cream of superfine quality. Our butter is sent Home in bulk, and I understand a large proportion of it is blended and made use of in the manufacture of margarine, etc. Would it not. be possible for all butter exported from New Zealand to be made up in lib. pats in paper wraps, or in up-10-duta cardboard containers ? The cost of dciiijj so would be extra, but the buyer would be sure of getting the genuine New Zealand butter. Each lib. of butter could have a little leaflet pointing out the advantages of New Zealand as a nice climate, etc., and this would induce people of means to reside here. Genuine Butter.
