A narrow escape froru serious injury through jumping from a train in motion was experienced to-day by Winnie Hudson, a Maori, aged about 13 years, of Tnhowai, near Katikati.

The girl was on the outward express train which did not stop at Tahowai, but wishing to get off at that place she jumped from the train. She suffered facial abrasions and was brought to the Tauranga Hospital for treatment.
