DANCING.

Numerous attractions have been arranger] for this evening's carnival night at Dixieland Cabaret, Point Chevalier.. A feature will be the appearance of Simon Philipoff, a noted exponent of the Russian balalaika, who has just, arrived in Auckland from the United States.

Attractive items by a specially trained ballet form one of .the novelty items to be presented at the carnival dance in tho Peter Pan Cabaret this evening. Dancing will be held from 8.30 p.m. to 2 a.m. To morro " evening, a New Year's Night dance \vi' r be held. The Peter Pan Dance Band will be in attendance on both nights. Russian and acrobatic dancing, will be presented at Romano's Cabaret this evening when a special New Year's Eve danco will be held. Good music will be provided.

A grand carnival night w.il be held in the Pirate Ship Cabaret; Milford Reach, this evening. Hartley's dance band of eight instruments will be m attendance and special transport arrangements hara been made.

After the picture performance at the Picturedrome. Milford, this evening, four hours of dancing will bs held. Tho "Felix Svncopators" will bo in attendance.

A special New Year's Eve dance will be held in the Civic Wintergarden Cabaret this evening at the conclusion of the picture programme .in the theatre. Special arrangements for danciag have been made on the S.S. Duchess, which will make a trip to Ivawau to-morrow. Walter Smith's "Entertainers" will be on board and refreshments will be served. At the Parisian Studio a New Year carnival dance, at which the studio will assist, will be held to-morrow evening.

The i T ugo-Slav Workers' Educational Club will hold t danco in the Manchester Unity buildings this evening.
