COMMITTEE AT TAURANGA.
[nV TELEGII AI'H. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ■ TAURANGA, Tuesday.
Thorn was a large attendance at a meeting at Tauranga. last evening when tho provisions of tho Unemployment Act were explained by Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P. It was decided that a local unemployment committee be formed and tho following were appointed:—Rev. J. W. Smyth, Rev. 11. G. Brown, Messrs. J. Beale, T. H. Phillips, L. R. Wilkinson, P. G. Mcintosh, 15. C. Robbins, J. Law 2 F. N. Christian, C. Glinkard, T. Lochhead, F. W. Keam, C. E. Macmillan and R. E. Burke.
The committee met subsequently and appointed Messrs. Bobbins, Macmillan, Loch head ant] Clinkard as an executive committee, with Mr. Bobbins as eJiaifman.. It was decided to ask tho Borough Council to allow the town clerk or a member of lus staff to act as secretary.
