A FAREWELL TEA.

Members of tho ltoyal Oak branch ~t>f the Mothers' Union were tho guests of tho presiding associate, Mrs. C. F. 11. Harrison, at an afternoon given at tho vicarago to farewell Mrs. A. Codlin, a much-esteemed member, who is leaving to live in Wanganui. About ,20 ladies wero present and the opportunity was taken of presenting Mrs. Codlin with a most attractive handbag. The vicar, the, Rev. C. F. 11. Harrison, made the presentation, and, in doing so, spoke very appreciatively of the work of Mrs. Codlin both as a member of the union and of tho Church, of which she had been a most enthusiastic worker. She would be gieatly missed by both. Songs sung by Mrs. Jacob and Mrs. Partridge, wero very much enjoyed and later tea was served i.i the dining room, where the table was arranged with bowls of Iceland poppies.
