The evidence showed tint on a recent Kalurdav nit;ht the four men wero distill bed 011 the premises of Iho Farmers' Co-operative Association, Waipukurau, and escaped in a motor-car. In the early hours of t,ho next, morning I lie police arrested accused on l!'e Taradalo T?oad near Napier, when they had stopped to repair a tyre. Tho witnesses' description of the cat in which accused made off, and plaster casts of the wheel tracks tallied with tho car in which accused were arrested. They wero remanded for sentence.
