MEDICI PRINTS.

GREAT ENGLISH PAINTERS. A second selection of the 70 Medici prints presented to the City by Mr. Moss Davis will be shown in the Art Gallery ton Monday. The first group, consisting of prints after Flemish, Dutch and German masters, was hung some weeks ago. It is now to be replaced by 20 reproductions of representative paintings of I lie •English school, and two of Spanish works The English collection has been admirably chosen. Regarded as a whole, it Bhows most vividly the aims and achievements of the great British painters the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Included in it are reproductions of Reynolds' " The Age of Innocence," Gainsborough's "Hon. Mrs Graham," Raoburn's "Hoy with a Rabbit," Romney's best-known study of Lady Hamilton, Constable's "The Cornfield," Turner's "Venice" and Abbott's "Lord Nelson." Other painters represented are Lawrence, •Iloppner, Richard Wilson and Matthew •Peter.v The Spanish reproductions are of Velasquez' "Infanta Maria Teresa," a little girl in grey and scarlet, and the portrait of lEir Walter Raleigh attributed to Zucchero. All the prints are framed with excellent taste una in harmony with their respective periods.
