RADIOACTIVITY RESEARCH. COMPUTATION BY PHYSICIST. (Received November 14, 5.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 13. A message from Newhavcn says Dr. A. F. Kovarik, professor of physics at Yalo University, uimotinces that (lie study of the rate of disintegration of tho radioactive elements lias disclosed that the ago of the earth is 1852 million years.
I)r Alois Francis Kovarik was born in lowa in 1880. He was a research follow in physics at Liverpool University and was appointed professor at lale in 1025. He has been awarded various medals and honorary degrees by European universities for his research* work in radioactivity and tho ionisation of gases and study of the X and other rays. He lias written much on the ago of the caith in scientific reviews.
