APPLICATIONS FOR POST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURAXGA, Friday. Fifty applications were received by the Tauranga County Council for the position of engineer, rendered vacant by tho resignation of Mr. F. A. Stevens. Hie council considered the applications to-day and reduced the number to two, from which the final selection will bt> mad® within the next few dayi.
