A COLOURED VASE.
If you are not particularly good at needlework try making a coloured glass bowl or vase. Start, by saving up the brightly coloured wrappings off chocolates made of silver arid gold paper. Cut tlie.se into different shapes arid .sizes as in figure I. Now get a plain glass bowl or vase and
cover the outside with gum, then stick on your coloured papers all over, seeing that the designs are nicely assorted. When quite dry cover the outside with a coat of clear varnish. Figures 2 and 3 give vou a i] idea of how a vase and bowl would look when finishel. Tho effect is charming and original, and either make a dainty gift.
