PROPOSAL FOR FIRE BOARD. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Friday. A decision to take a poll of ratepayers on the question of establishing a fire board was reached at a meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council last evening. It was reported that during October building permits issued totalled £2164 and include the erection of a small church. The engineer reported that 223 houses had been connected to the new sewerage system and a further 53 permits issued.
