RECENT MOTOR FATALITY.
FATHER AND SON KILLED. SKID ON GREASY ROAD. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HAWERA, Friday. A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned at an inquest at Patea to day concerning the death of William Henry Moore, aged 24, of Hawera, and his father, William Sturrock Moore, aged 55, of Blenheim, who died in the Patea Hospital subsequent to the capsize of a motor-car near Moumahaki, 33 miles from Wanganui, on September 15. Mr. Moore and his son were travelling south with Mr. John E. Jones, professional boxer, in a small car owned by Mr. Jones, who stated in evidence that Mr. Moore, jun., took over the wheel shortly before reaching the scene of the accident. The mishap occurred as a result of the car skidding on a greasy patch of road. Mr. Jones escaped injury.
